U.N. Body Takes Up Human Rights
By CLARE NULLIS (Direct
descendent of Karl Marx)
Associated Press Writer MARCH 30, 08:47 EST
GENEVA (AP) In thinly veiled swipes at the United States, French President Jacques Chirac on Friday appealed for a world ban on the death penalty and criticized the ``disturbing challenge'' to an agreement on reducing global warming.
("Chirac Appeals For Death Penalty Ban"
was the lead headline on the Wire for this piece of "Free Press"
dung! I'm not sure why the AP uses bait and switch tactics! I've got
a "disturbing challenge" for you Jacques, do something about YOUR syphilis
problem before you come knocking on our door! As far as "thinly
veiled swipes" go, take a bath, you're stinkin' up the U.N.! - tha
malcontent)
``No justice is infallible, and every execution may be killing an innocent person,'' Chirac said in a speech to the U.N. Human Rights Commission. ``And what are we to make of executions of minors and the mentally deficient?'' he
added.
(I
think we still have some unfinished business with the French... it's called
South East Asia! Thanks for Nam France! Anything else you would like
us to bail you out of? I can't think of a more useless and filthy group of
people than the French! (French-Americans excluded of course!) Maybe we
should construct a giant hose and wash the entire country of France down at one
time! We should have finished these slugs off at the end of WWII, then
maybe 58,000 of our country's children would not have had to die over in that
hell hole, Vietnam! Which reminds me, I would like to officially thank
George H. W. Bush (41) for "accidentally" bombing the French embassy
during the Gulf War. Interestingly, it came right after the bastard French
denied us permission to fly over France with relief and supplies for our men and
women in the Middle East! Bravo Papa Bush!... Bravo! - tha malcontent)
Also addressing the 53-nation U.N. rights body Friday were Yugoslav President Vojislav
Kostunica, Congo President Joseph Kabila, Swiss President Moritz Leuenberger and U.N. Secretary-General Kofi
Annan.
(Kofi
Annan is the Anti-Christ! - tha malcontent)
Annan appealed for more action against racial intolerance and extremism, especially ``hateful words and dehumanizing imagery'' on the
Internet.
(That's
brilliant, let the U.N. regulate the internet! tha malcontent)
``Politicians democrats as well as dictators use race-based appeals to seek and maintain power,'' he
said.
("DemocRATS
as well as dictators"? President Bush, did you just hear the head of
the U.N. refer to you and your party as "dictators"? That type
of rhetoric is bordering on calling America out! U.N., you want to go to
war?... we'll take you to war!... say hello to my leeetle friend! - tha
malcontent)
Kostunica told the commission that Belgrade was drafting a law governing cooperation with the International War Crimes Tribunal at The Hague,
Netherlands.
(the
I.W.C.T. is a JOKE! If even one of our boys is ever put before that
tribunal, that will be the last mistake the I.W.C.T. ever makes! - tha
malcontent)
But he gave no hint of bowing to outside pressure to extradite indicted war criminals including former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic to the tribunal. At the moment, extradition of Yugoslav citizens is banned by the constitution.
The U.S. Congress set a March 31 deadline for Belgrade to begin cooperating with the tribunal or face suspension of $100 million in much-needed economic aid.
Yugoslavia has been frequently criticized by the U.N. commission for fomenting strife in the other Balkan republics, but is expected to be rehabilitated this year as a result of the advent of democracy following the downfall of
Milosevic.
(Milosevic
was "democratically" elected and William the Liar was there by his
side! We set up a straw-man and we knocked him down when it was
politically expedient! - tha malcontent)
The commission is the top U.N. human rights watchdog, but is heavily politicized. For instance, China has used its muscle with other developing countries to block any attempts to criticize its poor record for the past 10
years.
(But
the U.S. is an abomination, right Kofi? - tha malcontent)
The United States is sponsoring a critical resolution in this year's annual six-week session. The European Union says it will vote for the resolution but not put its name down as sponsor.
France is one of the main EU backers of the velvet-glove approach toward China, and Chirac welcomed Beijing's signing of the U.N. Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights as a ``significant step
forward."
(China's
signature is a meaningless gesture that will result in NO changes for it's more
than one billion oppressed citizens! But hey, good intentions are all that
matter right! - tha malcontent)
``All the more warranted, therefore, the dialogue which the United Nations and Europe maintain with China on these issues, to encourage it to ratify the covenant ... and comply with its provisions,'' he said, pointedly leaving out the United States.
Chirac renewed France's challenge to sanctions notably the U.S.-British-led embargo against
Iraq.
(France
should be concerned about spreading sexually transmitted diseases outside of
it's borders before it goes around criticizing other countries for things it was
not MAN enough to take a serious part in itself! - tha malcontent)
``Economic sanctions primarily harm civilian populations. Political sanctions only make leaders more unbending,'' he commented.
In his wide-ranging speech, Chirac appealed to ``all states, especially industrialized ones, to implement the Kyoto Protocol fully and
immediately."
(The
Kyoto Treaty, there's a document that could have been drawn up by Karl Marx
himself! China won't abide and India won't abide, but America will be
forced to... no thanks! - tha malcontent)
He was referring to President Bush's announcement that the United States would not implement the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, under which countries agreed to legally binding targets for curbing heat-trapping ``greenhouse'' gases, which are mainly carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels. The move reversed a position Bush took during last year's presidential
campaign.
(Document
that accusation "Free Press"! I want a factual statement by Bush
that supports this propaganda! - tha malcontent)
``At a time of global warming and of a disturbing challenge to the Kyoto Protocol ... how can we affirm the right to a protected and preserved environment, the right of future generations?'' he Chirac
asked.
(Junk
science designed to lay the chains of tyranny on the American people! This
type of Socialist oppression will not be implemented without a call to arms! -
tha malcontent)
Switzerland's Leuenberger echoed the message of the need for global responsibility.
``The global inequalities are intolerable: two billion people live with less than $2 per day,'' he said. ``And the fortune of the world's richest 15 people exceeds the income of all the sub-Saharan African countries
combined."
(There
was absolutely NO challenge to the assertions of the Socialists in this product
of the American Ministry of Propaganda, the "Free Press"! Not
one time was an intellectual or factual argument against this proposed socialism
forwarded! The U.N. should change it's name to the U.M.N., the United
Marxist Nations! From those with the ability and resources, to those with
the perceived need! This is bringing a tear to the eye of Karl Marx in the
lowest levels of hell as we speak! - tha malcontent)
