NYC stabbing spree suspect: I'm victim of a setup

NEW YORK (AP) � NEW YORK � A man accused of going on a 28-hour stabbing rampage through New York City shouted that he was the victim of a "setup" as he was led from a police station Sunday.

(ap) - Sensible People can Agree on Sensible Knife Regulations... I can just go into a Whole Foods, buy some Tofu, and get a Knife or 2 and go Crazy... No background check... No seeing if I have any History of Mental Illness... It's time we did something... If it Saved only 1 Life, wouldn't Knife Bans be Worth it?... Sounds like he was set up anyway... At least, that's what he says... Don't even get me started on Wrongful Imprisonment! - tha malcontent)

Maksim Gelman was awaiting arraignment in Brooklyn on charges that he hacked three people to death, then stalked the city for more than a day, attacking innocent strangers, hijacking vehicles and killing a pedestrian with a car.

(And why isn't he a "Knifeman"?... He'd certainly be a "Gunman" if he used a Gun. - tha malcontent)

A small throng of Brooklyn residents taunted Gelman from the sidewalk as he was escorted out of a police precinct for his trip to court.

The 23-year-old yelled back, cursing and yelling that it "was a setup" as he was led to a vehicle. He wore a white jumpsuit, issued after his bloody clothing was seized as evidence.
