St. Patrick's Day... Observed.

(ap) - It's been a LONG time coming, and if it can't happen in America, it can't happen ANYWHERE!...

We need to treat St. Patrick's Day like Thanksgiving.

2nd weekend in March, and the "Observed" day can be Fryday.

Years like this year confuse and complicate the Celebration, and that can ruin a Patty's Day for many people who were mentally planning for the coming weekend, and not the one we just went through.

But there's a Public Safety Issue here also.

If ONE weekend is designated, then the focus will be on that weekend, instead of possibly two weekends, and then the actual day.

All I can say is, if it saved just one Life, wouldn't it be worth it?

Of course, this is all theoretical, because today is Patty's Day, and since it's the Official Day, you are required by State and Federal Law to Drynk today.

So if you haven't goosed an Irish Person, slapped their Moms, and done a shot of Whysky tomorrow morning just to get you "squared up", then you had better schedule that in tonight, or President O'bama might have something to say about it!

He's Hawaiian born Irish Kansan, don't ya know!
