4,000... A Number for the Left to Play with.

(ap) - It's Interesting, because the Left was the First to Begin the Comparisons of Iraq to Vietnam, yet when Comparing Casualty Rates and overall Military Goals and Strategies, that Analogy Seems a little bit Dishonest.

Unless after 5 Years of TAKING A COUNTRY and NOT Baby Sitting a Border, you have a number like "4,000 Americans Dead".

Of course, as I always do, I Prefer Context...

4,000 Dead in 5 Years. That's about 800 a Year. The Current Average Thanks to the Surge and the Hard Work of the Men and Women who Continue to VOLUNTARILY Re-Re-Re-Enlist for Iraq is about 380 a Year.

 

That's Correct, there is not a Military Draft Today... But there Certainly was one when we Lost 58,000 Americans in Southeast Asia Baby Sitting a Border. (The Soldiers in Vietnam should've been Allowed to Win that War and not been Subject to "Baby Killers" by the same Leftists who's Party Leaders sent them there in the First Place when they Returned Home after being Forced to Retreat in the End by those same Leftists.)

It will Take almost 3 more Years to get to 5,000 in Iraq at the Current Quarterly Rate, and even then, we Lost 3 Times that Number in ONE YEAR in Vietnam in KIA's.

That's what's Known as DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT in Military Terms.

But you won't Hear any of that Today...

You won't hear that on the 24th of March, 2008 we are at 27 Casualties when last year in March there were 81, Followed by 104 in April, and 126 in May.

Nope, just "4,000"... And "Free Press" Selected "Military Consultants" Telling us just how Horrible that Number is, because after all, they are Military Experts.

Well, let's Look at the War that the Left always wants to Compare to this one.

Vietnam.

First of all, we NEVER Took a Country in that War, nor was that your Goal. We Played Defense until we Retreated.

 

Casualties (KIA) during DemocRAT (JFK/LBJ) and REPUBLICan (Nixon) Administrations:

1,864 from 1961 to 1965. (JFK/LBJ)

5,008 in 1966. (LBJ)

9,378 in 1967. (LBJ)

14,594 in 1968. (LBJ)

9,414 in 1969. (Nixon)

4,221 in 1970. (Nixon)

1,380 in 1971. (Nixon)

300 in 1972. (Nixon)

So I want to Know where all of the "another Vietnam Quagmire Leftist Chicken Littles" are 5 Years into this War?...

But Please, don't let me Interrupt your Blood Swimming...

After all, 4,000 Americans who VOLUNTEERED to go Fight this Battle have DIED! Serving this Great REPUBLIC.

I don't want to get in the way of any of the Festivities.
