Modern Libertarians might have Blamed the US for Pearl Harbor

Now, don't go overreacting to a headline... Think about it. We were occupying an
Island, something I am damned sure the modern Libertarian would have been
against prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor.
We were occupying said Island to mount a sizeable non-War time Naval fleet
there... Another thing I am damned sure the modern Libertarian would have been
against.
Shockingly, Japan, the probable future target of this fleet, decided, AFTER the
US decided to try to choke them off with Trade, for all intents and purposes
siding in a War we claimed to take no sides in, to take out that potential
Military threat before it became and actual one.
Couple this with the theories, and Libertarians LOVE theories almost as much as
Goldwater and WrongPaul Love UFO's, that FDR let Japan hit us so he could
finally get in on some of the WWII action that the American Public was NOT
Interested in getting involved in at all.
Ridiculous, you say?... What percentage of 9/11 Conspiracy Theorists do you
think are Libertarians or Paulettes?... What percentage of Libertarians or
Paulettes to you think are 9/11 Conspiracy Theorists?
Not such a far-fetched line of Thought, now is it.
Of course, I highly doubt that any Libertarian or Paulette would be Honest today
in public about their feelings on Pearl Harbor and our possible use of it to get
fully involved in the European War, but I think that Honest people could
estimate that a number of them would have taken the stand I have just presented.
And in private, amongst other Purists... Probably do to this day.
After all, if not for our "Internationalism" in the Middle East, 9/11 wouldn't
have happened... According to many of these people.
Using that "logic", the same could be said about our occupation of the Island of
Hawaii and Japan's response to the Military build-up on our part.
Of course, I don't subscribe to either.
